Justin & Emily met during their first semester of college at the University of Illinois. They quickly became good friends before starting to date during their sophomore year. After almost 8 years together and many barn dances, tailgates, concerts, Bulls games, Chicago date nights AND a Super Bowl, we can’t wait to celebrate our next milestone together.

On February 24, 2024, Justin planned the most perfect proposal ever. He coordinated a nail appointment so Emily wouldn't have to use her fake press on nails (which she had on deck ready). He scheduled a fancy dinner date night, but took a detour on the way there to stop at Lake Michigan. He thought he was being sneaky when he asked her to go for a walk at Diversey Harbor, despite it being a cold Chicago day. :) After a quick stroll, Justin got down on one knee (without creasing his shoes) and popped the question. It was an immediate yes filled with smiles and lots of happy jumps. The night continued with dinner at one of our favorite restaurants [Mia Francesca’s – if you’re in Chicago, you have to try the profiteroles] with family and ended with a surprise engagement party with more family and friends.

We can't wait to take this next step together and are so excited to celebrate with everyone on June 21, 2025!
