We met a little over ten years ago through mutual friends of ours who would host parties and bonfires to get everyone together. I always liked Aaron and thought he was a really great guy: witty, charming, charismatic. It wasn't until a few years later that we both became teachers and realized how much we had in common. For years, our friendship evolved. Amid laughter and shared stories, we discovered not only a passion for teaching but that we also had many common interests that made our connection feel effortless. I recall telling Aaron years ago on a snowy February day that I wasn't quite ready to date. The idea scared me!I hadn't had much faith in love. I went into a coffee shop that day to meet him and walked away 4 hours later! I couldn't believe it! We practically closed the place down talking all evening. He made me feel safe, secure, and listened to. From there, I knew this relationship was special and that he was the one for me. To this day, he continues to be my person, my confidant, and my favorite coffee shop date.
