Getting from the Airport to Custer

If you fly into Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP), that’s the most common entry point when heading to the southern Black Hills. From RAP to Custer, South Dakota is about 49 miles by car. The drive typically takes around 1 hour under normal conditions. It’s a scenic drive through South Dakota countryside and into the hills, definitely worthwhile on its own.
