We met as most couples our age do: on a dating app. We talked over that app for a few weeks before our first date about our shared nerdiness - demonstrating our tendency to communicate in large digressive blocks in the process. Our first date had Ethan, despite his lactose intolerance, inviting Gabby out for ice cream and a walk around Bloomington. On that date, and on each subsequent date, we lost track of time as we touched every conversation subject a human being can possibly discuss. It wasn’t long before we simply stopped trying to keep track of the time, and became an official couple, seeing each other as much as we could in the midst of crazy post-college-graduate lives. Spending time with each other never had to become the new normal, because it felt as organic as that from the very beginning.

Not long after, Ethan met Winnie, and our normal started to feel like a family. We decided to expand our family again with two adorable cats, Tasha and Merlin.

After all of this, it’s now obvious to us that we’re ready for marriage and can’t wait to celebrate our love for each other, and the family we found between us.
