As a resort town, late April will still be a sleepy beach town for the area. We recommend booking directly through the hotels or through a site like Expedia.com or Booking.com for the very best prices. We learned that the hotel blocks are running an extra $50-75 per night! We recommend to try and stay in Point Pleasant given that it is midpoint between the church and the restaurant: Casa del Mar is on the Manasquan Inlet. You can walk to the boardwalk or sit by the inlet and watch the boats come and go. The Atlantic Motel, Shore Point motels are a walk further inland but a nice walk to the boardwalk and beach. Otherwise, if the beach is not your jam, and you want bare bones and no frills then the Sea Girt Lodge would work. This is a bit out of the way. It is located on Route 35, close to restaurants and shops, but it is not pedestrian friendly. You will need a car for sure. For a cute Bed and Breakfast a few blocks from the boardwalk, The Tower Cottage in Point Pleasant. Or, The Inn on Main in Manasquan which is closer to the Church. It is on a great main street with walking distance to breakfast, lunch, cute stores with CVS and 711 within a 3 min. walk. The Grenville Hotel in Bay Head is closer to the venue, a walk of 3 blocks. It is also another nice bed and breakfast. It is also a short walk to the beach and away from the boardwalk if that is more of your vibe.
