What time is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be at 6:00 p.m. on June 3, 2023. It takes about 35 minutes to get from downtown Augusta to Pine Knoll Farms. Check back here closer to the wedding for info about the shuttle from the Partridge Inn.
What is black tie optional?
Black tie optional means that if you have a tuxedo or a formal gown, we would love for you to take this opportunity to wear it! If you don't, a suit and tie is perfectly fine. The wedding party and family will be in tuxedos and gowns. For women, it means you have the option of wearing a full-length gown, or opting for a cocktail dress. The "optional" part is that we will not be hurt or offended if you don't show up in black tie. We love you and want you at the wedding in any form!
Is there parking available at the venue?
Pine Knoll Farms has tons of parking, with attendants ready to transport you from parking lot to the ceremony.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors, but the venue has giant ceiling fans to keep everyone cool. The cocktail hour will be on the lawn, unless there is inclement weather, and the reception will be indoors with A/C - although we think you'll also want to enjoy the amazing porches outside the reception venue as well.
Can I take pictures During the ceremony?
Please leave your cameras, phones, iPads and other devices off and away for the ceremony portion of our wedding. Outside the ceremony, please feel free to document however you wish. We have hired a wonderful photographer and promise to share all of the fantastic photos they capture.
What kind of weather should I expect?
Historical weather data shows that the average high temp in June for Appling, Georgia is 88 degrees, and average low is 64 degrees.
I'm staying downtown - how do I get to Pine Knoll Farms?
Pine Knoll Farms is about 35 minutes from downtown Augusta. It's a very easy, straight shot of a drive down Washington Road (past Augusta National Golf Club in fact!), and there is ample parking at the venue. If you answered “yes” to the shuttle question when you RSVP’d, we have a seat reserved for you on the shuttle leaving from the Partridge Inn around 5:00 p.m. (exact time will be available when you check in).
Can I bring my kids? Do I have a plus one?
We ask that you only attend with those named on your invitation. If you feel we missed someone, please let us know. If you'd like a referral to great local baby sitters, we'd be happy to give you some!
What should I do if I can't make it?
We will miss you! If you can't make it, be sure to RSVP accordingly, or update your RSVP if your availability changes.
