We met through our mutual friends. My best friend, Kya, was introduced to Christian through her fiancé. After spending some time with him, she realized that we would be a perfect match. She set up a double date for us, and we hit it off. We went on our first date shortly after that, and started dating long distance while I lived in Pittsburgh. After I moved back to Wisconsin, we were able to really spend time together. We enjoyed going hiking, spending Saturday mornings at the Madison farmer’s market, trying new restaurants, and doing a couples’ game night with our friends. We dated for a year and a half before Christian proposed. He proposed on Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park. We got a small round of applause from some very nice retired folks. We’re very excited to start this next chapter of our lives as a married couple!
