We, like a lot of modern couples, met on a dating app (thanks Hinge!) in May of 2022. We chatted for a while online where we discovered we were neighbors and planned for our first date to be a picnic at Lake Bde Maka Ska the next week. Our first date was 6 hours long and involved lots of wine, snacks, and sitting for so long our butts went numb. We quickly started spending a lot of time together and had a lot of fun getting to know each other. We explored, ate at a lot of cool restaurants, started some traditions, and laughed a ton. We moved in together in July of 2023 and the fun was amplified with a lot of cooking for each other, chat hours before bed, and continuing to explore and grow our relationship. As we grew together, we realized that neither of us were very good at keeping secrets. We never waited until an actual holiday or birthday to exchange gifts and always knew what the other was thinking. As we started to consider the future, we knew taking the next step would be no different. We proposed to each other in Chicago in March 2024 and spent the weekend celebrating with our family. Our love is filled with laughter, joy, snacks, and mutual support. We can't wait to celebrate it with you!
