Our Wedding

Shardul and Hima both met their freshman year of college at the University of Toledo in 2015. The two became quite good friends and bonded over their love for food, Bollywood movies, and more food! Shardul prefers his own quiet part of the world surrounded by only his closest friends and family. He is a huge soccer fanatic and spends each weekend cheering on his favorite soccer team, Arsenal. Hima enjoys baking new treats (she has made more banana bread than you can imagine), exploring new cities, and spending her time with her best friends and family. At first, their worlds collided differently but they realized they could completely be themselves together. They truly do balance each other out in all the right ways!

What started out as a beautiful surprise trip for my birthday, ended up being the sweetest surprise towards the end of the trip! The trip to Hawaii was truly perfect. Each day, we went on an adventure whether that was a submarine tour or seeing the sets of where Jurassic Park was filmed, the trip was filled with the best memories. On 2-12-2022, the perfect sunny day, Shardul drove us to the West side of the island of Oahu. I still remember us jamming and having a car karaoke session as we cruised through the roads of the island. As we approached towards Makua beach, Shardul was leading the way to the most beautiful scenery. The water was clear blue and as we approached closer towards the mountains...and there was the sweetest surprise. A beautiful heart shaped flower petals and the sweetest sign with leis that said, "Will you marry me?" After that, the rest was history!We are so excited to share our love and celebrations with all of our sweetest friends and family!
