With roughly 80% of Filipinos being Catholic, it has become customary for Filipino weddings to be held in a Catholic Church where many rituals and readings take place. Each ritual signifies the important values of marriage and the union of two individuals. This makes it the most sentimental part of a Filipino wedding.

13 Coins or The Arras

Known as arras -- exchanging 13 coins usually handed from the groom to the bride as a symbol of prosperity and groom's oath to provide to the wife and the family. The coins are usually brought up by a coin bearer, similar to a ring bearer.

Viel and Cord Ceremony

The veil symbolizes oneness and protection for your marriage while the Yugal or infinity shaped cord is incorporated as a representation of the couple’s bond and union and symbolizes eternity and unity. Sponsors will place the Yugal on top of the veil as the couple receives their blessing.

Money Dance
