Many people ask us how we met, and we love sharing this story because it still feels serendipitous to this day.

We even know the exact date: March 20th, 2024, the day before Tim’s birthday. It was an ordinary weekday, when both of us happened to be at the gym. Hyeri had recently become obsessed with learning golf, so much so that she was practicing her swing in front of the mirror by the dumbbells.

That’s when the swing caught Tim’s eye as he was refilling his water bottle. As a golf professional, he couldn’t resist striking up a conversation. He introduced himself, admittedly thinking Hyeri could become a new student for his coaching program. They ended up exchanging numbers.

A few weeks later, Hyeri made the drive out to TPC Potomac for her first lesson. Tim was immediately impressed, her swing was smooth, confident, and far beyond what he expected from someone who had only been playing a few months. After the lesson, they played a few holes together, and after parting ways that evening, both planned to return to the gym.

Later that same evening at the gym, Tim took a chance by asking Hyeri out on a date. Hyeri, surprised by Tim’s straightforwardness, said yes, and that simple moment became the start of something special.

Looking back, we both believe it was more than coincidence, it felt like God had been preparing us in our own ways all along, bringing us together at exactly the right time.

And here we are, two years later, ready to begin this next chapter together, forever.
