Isabel and Michael met at The University of Arizona Campus Rec in 2019, their sophomore year of college. They spotted each other at the gym and quickly developed a gym crush. While he may deny it, Michael began returning to the gym at the same time hoping to see his crush. In March of 2020, COVID shut down their unofficial meeting spot. Michael took this as his opportunity to ask Isabel on their first date. With limited options due to COVID, Michael asked Isabel to go on a hike. As first date nerves began to settle, they quickly fell into conversation that lasted hours and left them both feeling they just met their person. Isabel likes to say it was love at first “hike”. After that hike, the two spent every day together and became inseparable.

Michael and Isabel began dating in April of 2020 and quickly fell in love. After graduating from college in 2022, they moved to Phoenix to start their lives together. Michael proposed in Sedona on July 13th, 2024.
