April 19 holds a deep significance in my heart, as it marks what would have been my Mema and Papa’s 67th wedding anniversary. My Papa passed away in 2019, but their love and devotion to each other, and to God, have always been an inspiration to me. Growing up, I admired the beautiful way they lived out their faith and love, and their marriage has been a guiding light in my life.

I remain incredibly close to my Mema, and in honoring their legacy of a long-lasting, God-centered marriage, I chose this special date to start my own journey with Devon.

Florida and Easter also have a special place in my heart, because it was Easter last year when I realized I was in love with Devon. Then, one month later, I was in Florida when I felt peace in my heart that Devon was going to be my husband. Now, here we are, Easter weekend in Florida this year, getting married! God is good!
