We met back in 2015. We were both enrolled in our first year of x-ray school at LIU post. We sat in the same row for most classes, but we didn't speak at all. We didn't start speaking until our second semester when we became a part of the same friend group, and studied together all the time. We weren't very close, that was until we were placed at the same summer clinical site in 2016. Our first day of clinicals we went to lunch together with two of our classmates. Robby forgot his wallet at home and I (Jackie) felt bad, so I bought him lunch. From there we became better friends and would be basically attached at the hip, always going to lunch just the two of us. We didn't officially start dating until 10/29/2016. We had our first official date after I (Jackie) had gotten out of work, it was definitely a scene because I was dressed like a puppy for Halloween. We were both 23. Over the years we've encouraged each other's growth and loved each other through really hard times. We spent a lot of time with our friends and went  on plenty of mini vacations, just the two of us. We are proud animal people. In 2019, we rescued our first bunny off the street, Chip (yes, we knew he was domestic). I (Jackie) swear I came up with his name, and Robby swears he did. It's a point of contention, and we still don't know who's right (it's a joke so you can laugh). In 2022, we rescued our second bunny off the street, Manny. We give credit of his name to our friend Doug. In November of 2023, we moved into our first apartment together with Chip and Manny. On June 8th, 2024, Robby was being promoted to 5th degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate, a master rank. I (Jackie) wanted to celebrate Robby's huge accomplishment with our friends and family, so we invited them all to the ceremony. Little did I know Robby was planning to propose! The day was so special, and I'm still shocked. Shortly after, we were lucky to rescue our 3rd bunny, Lilly. Now, here we are after almost a decade of dating, so so excited to be getting married! We have built a beautiful life together, that we love, and can't wait to continue loving each other for the rest of our lives.
