Kierra and Jared both share deep roots in farming, which is exactly how their story began. In October 2022, Kierra, then a high school senior, started working as a calf feeder at the same farm where Jared was employed as a farmhand. What began as casual encounters soon turned into something more—Jared found himself making frequent trips to the calf barn, not just to check on the calves, but to catch a glimpse of Kierra.

On February 21, 2023, Jared finally worked up the courage to start texting Kierra, and just two weeks later, they went on their very first date at Culver’s. From that moment on, they were inseparable. By March 5, 2023, they officially became a couple.

After Kierra graduated high school, she headed off to college, and together they began navigating a long-distance relationship. Though it wasn’t always easy, their love only grew stronger. In March 2025, during Kierra’s spring break, they took their first big trip together to celebrate their two-year anniversary in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

On their very first full day, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the mountains, Jared got down on one knee and asked Kierra to spend forever with him. With tears in her eyes and the easiest decision she ever had to make, Kierra said “YES!”
