Jeb and Kate’s love story began at a Halloween kickball game at Gordon State College. Jeb, a baseball player, and Kate, a softball player, were placed on mixed teams for a kickball tournament. Jeb showed up dressed as Buddy the Elf, and Kate immediately noticed how much he resembled Will Ferrell—right before she also noticed him miss an easy fly ball.

Their paths didn’t cross again until Kate’s birthday. While scrolling through Snapchat stories, Jeb spotted a beautiful girl someone had posted to celebrate her day. He added her from the tagged story, and soon the two began texting regularly. Kate’s first impression was how happy Jeb always seemed—though she couldn’t help but wonder if he was up to something. During practices, they would sneak glances at each other from across the field.

Their first date took place on March 8, 2023, at Fox City Brewery. Both were incredibly nervous—Kate so nervous, in fact, that she dropped honey mustard on her pants. Jeb, ever the gentleman, opened every door for her. From that night on, through countless dates and post-game hangouts, their connection only grew stronger.

The past three years together have been the best of their lives, filled with baseball and softball games, laughter, spontaneous adventures, and unforgettable memories. Despite transferring schools multiple times and traveling long distances to see one another, their love has only grown deeper. They are so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife!
