Mynor and Jen often reference good luck and good timing when talking about the start of their relationship. Mynor was grabbing lunch at a pizza by the slice restaurant in Griffith in the Fall of 2015 when he saw on Instagram that a cafe down the street, Grindhouse, was hiring. He grabbed an application that day (from Jen actually, who already worked there) and soon after, the two met as coworkers.

Their overlapped time at the cafe was short in the grand scheme of things, less than a year, but it didn't take long for the two to quickly bond about music, movies, and being creative people. The couple started dating by May of the following year. Mynor changed jobs after graduating at the end of that summer, but their relationship continued long after.

7 years passed, filled with fun memories and exciting milestones, then in February of 2023, Mynor hosted a show back at Grindhouse where his band and a few others performed. While it's always a good time, this seemed like a par-for-the-course Saturday night. It turned out to be anything but that. In the middle of his band's set, Mynor proposed to Jen in the same building where they first met while surrounded by a ton of their friends and family. It was perfect.

The couple thanks their paths crossing during that small time frame in 2015 for putting the rest of their lives in motion. A collection of seemingly small and mundane happenings have added up to an absolutely wonderful life together for Jen and Mynor, and they feel incredibly lucky for it.
