The Story of Us

Back in 2016, Jenny and Andrew's paths crossed at a Super Bowl party with mutual friends- they would follow each other on social media but not talk for over a year. Jenny started to see Andrew at the gym and health sciences building at MSU and got the courage to say hi a time or two. She even sometimes extended her study sessions just to see him for a minute (he doesn't remember any of this). She texted her friends...and mom, a few times talking about this cute boy she kept crossing paths with. One day, she found him on Tinder and swiped right and guess what, it was a match. They talked back and forth for a few months and Andrew was intrigued by Jenny's persistence but was nervous about long distance when he left for clinicals. Jenny was sure she could change his mind.

Andrew invited Jenny to come to STL for Saint Patricks day, not really expecting her to take it seriously...but she did.

March 23, 2018

Andrew left to travel to Arizona for clinical. They knew long distance would be hard, but were committed to giving it a try.

May 18, 2018

After finishing his clinical, Andrew drove 12 hours straight to surprise Jenny for her graduation! And officially asked her to be his girlfriend--after Jenny ruined his plans and told him they needed to officially define the relationship minutes before he got the chance to ask.

June 23, 2018

Jenny moved to STL and Andrew stayed in Springfield finishing up his doctorate. Jenny would drive down to Springfield every weekend she had the chance to. On June 22nd, after Jenny ruined his plans again, they told one another they loved each other.

May 17, 2019

They continued long distance for a year until Andrew graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. They got an apartment and moved in together in STL.

On September 16th, 2022 they got engaged!

Andrew told Jenny they were going on a "fly-along" with his cousin and his parents. When his parents did not show up, his cousin (the pilot) disappeared, and his cousin's wife (a photographer) came out of the bushes, Andrew let Jenny in on his secret. Andrew asked Jenny to marry him and she, of course, said YES! They then took an amazing helicopter ride overlooking STL at sunset and Andrew took her to a surprise dinner with their families to celebrate the day.
