Our Wedding

Jeremy and Christy met in high school through mutual friends in 2012. Soon the two became fast friends and talked nearly every day. A few years later, both were working on their Bachelor's degrees. Jeremy at UWaterloo working on his degree in Physics and Christy at Ryerson University working on her degree in Creative Industries. The two still talked nearly every day. Jeremy kept telling Christy he wanted to focus on his degree before jumping into a relationship. That lasted about two weeks... When the two came home to Smiths Falls for Christmas, Jeremy had something important to ask Christy. With a nervous smile, Jeremy asked Christy "So, do you wanna?" Christy knew exactly what he meant and the rest was history. Now seven and a half years later, with six combined different apartments, five years long distance, four close family members' deaths, three different cities, two breakdowns on the side of the highway, and one pandemic. It's time to start a new chapter!

Emily is Christy's older sister by three years. The two grew up bonding by Bass Lake, and enduring/suffering through every watersport their father forced them into.  Emily is outgoing, cheerful and compassionate.

What to say about Herman... Christy and Herman met in high school and instantly became like siblings. They laughed, talked, and even fought like siblings. But they wouldn't have it any other way. Herman's childlike humour makes any situation into a fun situation.

Christy and Seo-Yeon met in high school and have been friends ever since. Fast forward a few years, and she marries Christy's best friend, Ron Whyte! Seo-Yeon has the bubbliest personality, the warmest heart and can make anyone smile!

Christy and Ron first met in grade 9. They weren't exactly best friends from the start, but after years of Christy's true persistence, they became the bestest of friends. Christy even was Ron's 'Bestman' at his wedding. Life wouldn't be the same without Ron's pessimistic view on various topics. He too, makes the world seem brighter.

Calvin, Christy, and Jeremy have been friends since high school. Jeremy and Calvin met during Mr. Craig's after-school Reach for the Top club. Life is always just a little brighter when Calvin is around.

Matt is Jeremy's older brother by three years. The two grew up bonding over books, video games, and metal music. Matt is a loyal brother and loving father.

Jeremy and Isaiah met in their first year of university, living next door to one another. They became fast friends, enduring the shared suffering of UWaterloo classes together that has bonded them for life.

Stephen & Jennifer (née Hyland) were married in May 1991. Stephen is an emergency nurse at the Carleton Place hospital. Jennifer is now retired but was a med-surge nurse at the Perth & Smiths Falls Hospital. Christy grew up watching an amazing example of what a strong, loving marriage looks like. She is so lucky to have caring, loving, and hard-working parents that have shaped her into who she is today.

Ronald & Ruthie (née Harris) were married in 1988. Ron & Ruthie are owners of Rotating Rug Rental in Smiths Falls. Jeremy grew up watching his parents work countless, long hours which has given him a drive for success in everything he does. He is so thankful to have such generous, loving parents who would do anything for him.
