As the title says, we really did fall in love in a hopeless place.


We met through work in different departments, the workplace was the worst to be in because of the office manager and how disrespectful she was to her employees. We would always roll our eyes when we cant leave for work while she nags us like her children. My coworkers tried to hook us up and would tell me that someone is always checking me out. I tried to reach out and invite Chris if he wanted to do a hiking weekend trip but he did not get back to me. I was not ready to enter a new commitment but love came when you least expect it. We started hanging out and just couldnt resist each others company. We have a completely different lifestyle and background but somehow we connected and cherished the moments as weve come along. We became official on August 15, 2015 and time just flew by without knowing 7 years has passed. Weve had our rough patches since both of us were still juggling between school and work. Finding time for each other and showing commitment led us through the hard challenges. We just called each other study buddy since most of our dates ended up being in a library, but we made it work.


We are slowly accomplishing our goals and Chris finally is in his nursing career, which helped us live our dreams to finally move in together in summer of 22. Although our families mean a lot to us, we felt that its about time we give ourselves a chance and build our own family. So the long wait has finally come, we went on an adventure to celebrate our 7th year, #PNWRoadtrip. Little did I know that Chris has asked my dad for his blessing and told my sisters of his plans. We have always felt awkward whenever we were asked about settling down and getting pregnant. So, I had no knowledge that he will actually do it around our anniversary date. We are having a moment and soaking it all in while surrounded with the breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier. He went to get the tripod so we can take our pictures and as he was setting it up, he had me face the mountains and I was making my poses. He asked me to turn around, and I was caught off guard to find him on his knee. In that moment, I didnt even think I answered when he finally popped the question. We hugged so tight and I just fell to my knees, of course I couldnt stop crying. It was a very private moment shared and I am still processing everything until now.




We cant wait for our day to come and celebrate with our loved ones.
