Jessica’s grandpa Don took a spin on the dance floor here when he was 90! Steamboat Jazz Cruise down the Mississippi on the Natchez is fun too. Touristy for sure! Harrah’s/Caesars Casino is just outside the French Quarter if you want to test your luck. ShoppingThere is the French Market in the French Quarter, the Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, Jackson Square if you are looking for local art. Stroll along Magazine Street for some boutique shopping, or Royal Street for antiques.And what about food? Of course, you have to have BEIGNETS at some point. Café du Monde is the most famous place to get these along with a coffee, but lots of places have good beignets. Breakfast at the Two Chicks Café? Parades on Easter (don’t forget your Easter BONNET!): Chris Owens French Quarter Easter Parade starts at 1pm (often starting near the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel) followed by the family-friendly Gay Easter Parade starting later in the day.
