Once upon a time, on a Tinder app long ago, Andrew and Jessica both swiped right, intrigued by what they learned about each other through their meticulously curated pics and blurbs. After a prolonged text-based courtship, during which Andrew stubbornly and persistently asked Jessica on several dates to a bunch of different coffee shops around town, Jessica finally relented and gave him a chance at romance.

Andrew and Jessica met for their first date eight years ago at Sweet Eugene's coffee shop in College Station, TX. With butterflies in their stomachs, they discussed books, Pokemon Go, bright yellow cars, and severely sprained ankles, which led to a budding relationship between the two. Between their packed grad school schedules, they made time for each other through many Thursday Chuy's meals, movie nights at the nearby Cinemark, and Sterling street hangouts. It wasn't long before they both said "I love you" for the first time while visiting family in Kentucky and Indiana during the holidays.

Eventually, they decided to start their new life in Austin together along with their cats Benji and Jaime. After purchasing their first home together in Austin, Andrew popped the question during a weekend getaway to Fredricksburg, on top of Enchanted Rock right at sunset over a homemade picnic.
