Austin and I met in 2017 at Rockhurst University as we were both studying nursing. We were in all of the same classes, but never really interacted with each other. I secretly thought he was super cute, but never had the courage to talk to him. At the end of freshman year, we went to Rockstock. (concert at Rockhurst to celebrate the end of the school year) Dan & Shay was the concert, and Austin and I just so happened to see each other at the pregame. Austin will never admit it, but I was minding my own business and he pulled me onto his lap and told someone to take a picture. There is proof below ;) Nothing came of that day, unfortunately, but just a few short months later, we were both at the Kenny Chesney concert in KC! Austin had posted a snapchat story and I realized he was in the parking lot over from us. I made him and Nash pack up their 2 lawn chairs and speaker and join our tailgate! I was so excited to introduce Austin to my whole family as if we were already dating... little did he know that I was hoping this wasn't the only time he would meet them. But this is not where the story of us began...

Sophomore year started and it was as if we didn't know each other. We went to class and saw each other and it was nothing more than a friendly, oh hey, how are you! I was playing soccer at the time, and I always tried to convince Austin to come out with us on Sunday nights as that was the only day we could! The answer was always no, or just no response until I would see him in class the next day. It wasn't until the beginning of September, when we had an off weekend for soccer and I was able to go out. Austin and I saw each other at the bar, talked all night and never looked back from there!

We started dating October 26th, 2018 and from that point on we have had so much fun! From all our fraternity/sorority formals, chiefs games, vacations with family and friends. There was never a dull moment that is for sure!

On June 2nd, 2023, what I thought was a going away party for a friend turned into one of the best days of my life!! Austin pulled off the absolute best surprise when he asked me to marry him!!! I could not have been more excited and he did such an amazing job :')

Austin and I are currently living in Kansas City and working as nurses. Austin is working at Research Medical Center in the ICU and I am at Children's Mercy on the Med Surg/Ortho floor. We are enjoying what feels like the busiest time of our lives! Throughout the years, Austin and I have gone through the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows together. We have found that there is nothing we cherish more than being us and and there is nothing that can break us apart as long as we are together. We look forward to making so many more memories when we are married so soon :)
