Joe moved to Joplin, Missouri, just before starting sixth grade. Despite being part of the same friend group as Jovi throughout middle and high school, they never directly interacted or got to know each other.

August 2020

Jovi managed the high school football team, where Joe played, and his dad, Curtis, was the head coach. This role brought Jovi closer to Joe's family, but their paths remained parallel.

October 2020

Jovi started sitting with Coach Jasper during lunch. This daily interaction created a safe space for her, though she and Joe still hadn't connected personally.

November 2020

Coach Jasper, noticing Jovi's presence and potential compatibility with Joe, asked Jovi’s friend Mya if she thought Jovi and Joe would make a good match. Mya agreed and began plotting ways to bring the two closer together.

December 2020

Mya started planting seeds about Joe being a good guy. At the same time, Jovi started playing Game Pigeon games with Joe's siblings. As they bonded over these games, one of his siblings eventually passed Jovi’s number to Joe. He initiated contact by sending her an invite to play 8 Ball, which led to regular conversations and a budding friendship.

January 2020

Jovi also managed the boys' basketball team, where Joe also played. This increased their time together, and their relationship grew beyond casual conversations.

November 15, 2020

Joe met Jovi’s family for the first time. Impressed and committed, he promised that he would officially ask Jovi to be his girlfriend before the end of the year.

December 27, 2020

True to his word, Joe asked Jovi’s dad for permission to date her with only four days to spare. With his blessing, Joe and Jovi officially became a couple, marking the start of their committed relationship.

Year: 2021

Jovi and Joe grew together in ways neither of them had expected. Their connection deepened as they saw each other nearly every day, sharing their lives and dreams. After practice at Joplin High School, they often lingered in the parking lot, talking for hours under the fading light of the evening sky. These conversations became their sanctuary, a place where they could unwind and truly be themselves. They bonded over a shared love of movies, spending countless nights watching films and discussing their favorite scenes and characters. Jovi, despite not being particularly interested in sports, patiently sat through the hours of football that fueled Joe's passion. Together, they created a foundation of mutual respect and understanding, nurturing a relationship built on shared interests and the simple yet profound pleasure of each other's company.

May 2022

Joe and Jovi graduated from high school together. Joe joined Jovi's family as they traveled to Israel. Then Joe attended Missouri S & T in Rolla, while Jovi attended Missouri State University to study Entertainment Management. Despite the distance, they maintained a strong relationship, navigating the challenges of a semi-long-distance relationship.

August 2023

Joe transferred to Missouri State University to study accounting. With their lives now closer, they continued supporting each other in their personal and academic journeys.

March 2023

Jovi had the idea to open an event decor business, and with the help and support of Joe and her family, she pursued this goal.

October 2024

Jovi officially launched Jovial Signature Party Services, her event design business. Joe was a constant source of encouragement and support throughout the process, helping her realize her entrepreneurial dreams.

December 7, 2024

During Jovi’s graduation party from MSU, at Jovial Signature Party Services, Joe proposed. In a moment filled with love and joy, Jovi responded with a playful, "Yeah, I guess so," marking the beginning of their engagement.

From childhood acquaintances to lifelong partners, Jovi and Joe's relationship grew through shared experiences, mutual support, and a deep understanding of each other's dreams and challenges. They found strength and guidance in the Lord, who became their anchor through their challenges. The Lord is their most significant support.
