John and Haley’s journey began on June 22, 2019, when they met while visiting a mutual friend’s camp (or cottage, for our Canadian friends). Although they attended the same college, their paths didn’t cross until after Haley graduated that year. They quickly bonded over their shared love for music, the outdoors, cracking jokes, riding ATVs, traveling, and more. By Christmas 2019, their connection had grown, and they officially started dating.

Like many couples, their early days were shaped by the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, including spending time partially distanced. But in early 2021, John moved to Youngwood, and by fall of that year, they made the exciting step of moving in together. Since then, they’ve packed their days with adventure, from traveling as far as Dubai to attending the Daytona 500, countless weddings, and concerts.

A special highlight came in October 2022 when they brought home their dog, Hank, who has been a source of endless joy ever since.

Then, on May 19, 2023, during a trip to Canada, John made a moment Haley will never forget—he proposed in front of Niagara Falls (a perfectly Canadian touch).

Now, they’re thrilled to be planning their big day and can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you!
