"Boston makes history but, even now, we're still forging our identity. The spark that fueled the fight for American independence burns just as brightly today and inspires our food, beer, and not-so-dirty water. It’s built five-star stays and world-class venues accessible in all four seasons. That’s why anyone who visits will agree that Boston never gets old.”

“With its heady mixture of artistic and outdoor adventure, our region is stylish and sophisticated, genuine and welcoming—a place where grey flannel and plaid flannel can coexist. Modern marvels mingling with maritime history. And underlying the latest art, fashion, music, and culinary scene is a deep sense of continuity. We invite you to experience the character of a region that blends the present with a very special past.”

"A gazebo in the center of town. A beautiful waterfall and stream trickling to the Exeter River. Brick buildings lining Main Street. Welcome to the picturesque New England town of Exeter, New Hampshire! Exeter is a clean, calm, easy-going town, sprinkled with healthy eating spots, locally-owned shops, and upscale restaurants."
“Strawbery Banke Museum, in the heart of historic downtown Portsmouth, is an authentic nearly 10-acre outdoor history museum dedicated to bringing 300+ years of American history in the same waterfront neighborhood to life. The Museum's restored buildings and open space invite visitors to immerse themselves in the past, using objects from the museum's collection of 30,000 artifacts, and the histories of the families who lived and worked in the Puddle Dock neighborhood to engage, educate, and entertain.”
“Welcome To Albacore Park The USS Albacore is a research submarine, designed by the U.S. Navy to test experimental features used in modern submarines. The Navy tested top-secret features that led to the high-speed silent operation used on modern U.S. submarines. Today, Albacore has been preserved and is opened to the public.”
There are so many restaurants in the seacoast area. Many you will find in Exeter and Portsmouth, although the smaller towns also have their local gems. A few of our favorites:
P.S. Adrian had his very first American Meal at the Galley Hatch!
There is plenty of shopping in Exeter and Portsmouth but if you are looking for an outlet vibe, Kittery is the place!
We have seen a variety of wildlife at all of these locations. Swasey Park even boasts Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Herons, Ducks, and don't forget the occasional Harbor Seal!
