Groom's Side

Justin Koch
Justin Koch - Best Man
Justin, Joshua's younger brother, shares his brother's passion for mechanical systems and construction. Growing up, they spent countless hours collaborating on various projects, nurturing a shared curiosity and love for building and engineering. The bond they forged through their joint ventures extended beyond childhood as they attended the same charter school and even shared some college experiences together, further solidifying their connection and mutual interests. Justin works at Boeing, where he is responsible for overseeing the distribution of cutting tools, precision measuring tools, and personal protective equipment. Justin is a man of many hobbies, embracing a hands-on and adventurous lifestyle. He enjoys diving into video games, tackling various projects around the house, perfecting his grilling skills by cooking an array of meats, and heading out for shooting practice. With his trusty truck and trailer, Justin is always ready to haul anything that needs moving. Wherever he goes, his loyal Belgian Malinois, Dutch, is by his side, making every outing a team effort.
Jordan Koch
Jordan Koch - Best Man
Jordan is Joshua's youngest brother. Joshua and Jordan share very similar humor and entrepreneurial spirit, bringing the brothers closer together as they entered the working world. Growing up, during house projects, Jordan was always the comic relief for every project. Although not always helpful, his antics made everything way more fun and enjoyable. Their shared outlook and lighthearted nature have strengthened their bond over the years, especially as they ventured into the working world.
Jordan Purvis
Jordan Purvis - Groomsman
Jordan, Shelby's older brother, first met Joshua at a Purvis family gathering when Joshua began attending these events with Shelby. The two quickly hit it off, bonding over shared interests in beers and memes. Joshua values Jordan’s company so much that before every Purvis family function, he always asks if Jordan will be there. Looking ahead, Joshua is excited to continue building their connection—he might even venture into watching an Eagles football game someday (though it may take some time!). Jordan is a 12-year veteran of United Airlines, a grill master, globe-trotter, and die-hard sports fan. When he's not tending to the smoker, packing his bags, or wrangling his furry friend, Nikki, he's most likely glued to the TV, cheering on the Colorado Avalanche and, most passionately, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Austin Crocetti
Austin Crocetti - Groomsman
Austin is Joshua’s cousin, and their bond was strengthened through the monthly family potlucks Joshua’s family hosted while growing up. These gatherings fostered close relationships among cousins, creating a strong sense of connection. During the pandemic, Austin played a key role in keeping the family engaged by stepping up as the Dungeon Master for a weekly—and delightfully chaotic—Dungeons & Dragons campaign. This creative and fun experience helped everyone stay connected, even during challenging times. His long time passion and hobby has been cooking. He feels right at home in a kitchen, and believes cooking is a form of art. Enjoys cooking for others and sharing his passion at family gatherings. He is always looking for new recipes and techniques to try out during his marathon cooks, and usually has cooking content going on in the background of his day to day life.
Jordan Meader
Jordan Meader - Groomsman
Jordan has been a longtime friend of Joshua’s, with their bond dating back to high school. The two frequently rode their bikes to each other’s homes to hang out and play video games, forging a strong friendship built on shared interests. Their mutual fascination with mechanical systems, grammar, and the dream of proving perpetual motion (especially with the right number of fan blades on an automobile) provided endless conversations and experiments. Later, Jordan and Joshua lived and worked together in Saint Helens, collaborating on numerous intriguing industrial projects. Their shared experiences, both personal and professional, have solidified their enduring friendship. Jordan works as a robotics engineer for Concept Systems, where he channels his passion for mechanical and electrical systems, striving to embody the ingenuity of Iron Man. A dedicated gym enthusiast, Jordan spends hours a day working to get yoked, balancing his physical pursuits with his love for video gaming. His thirst for knowledge is insatiable, and he’s often found with informational videos playing in the background as he dives into his work or personal projects.
Nicolas Grübbs
Nicolas Grübbs - Groomsman
Joshua and Nicolas first crossed paths on the deadlift platform at the gym. Joshua, spotting Nicolas and his wife Alyssa, asked if he could join their session—and from that day forward, the trio became gym regulars, training together several days a week for years. Joshua and Nicolas share a similar sense of humor and are always on a mission to outdo each other with the most unique Spotify Wrapped results. Over the years, Nicolas has been a steadfast friend, supporting Joshua through both good and challenging times. Nicolas is a compassionate and driven individual dedicated to personal growth, faith, and fostering meaningful connections. He finds purpose in inspiring others! He maintains a disciplined lifestyle, incorporating weightlifting, daily walks, and cold exposure into his routine while prioritizing prayer and meditation to deepen his spiritual journey. Nicolas enjoys reading authors like Carl Jung, David Hawkins, and Joe Dispenza, exploring the intersections of mind, faith, and transformation. He blends intellectual curiosity with emotional depth, living with purpose and a desire to positively impact those around him.

Bride's Side

Britney Romero
Britney Romero - Maid of Honor
Hi, I’m Britney! I am 32 years old and a full-time student at the Portland State University Honors College. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s of Science in English with Writing, Film, and Environmental Science Minors. Shelby and I have known each other for 27 years and I am beyond excited to be her Maid of Honor. My life is full of plants, friends, music, my two cats Creeper & Wolfe, and too many unfinished craft projects. Shelby and I are what you get when two 6-year-old kids from opposite ends of the street meet and instantly decide to become friends for life. Through all the trials and tribulations life has thrown at us, we have always found a way to be there for one another. Through thick and thin, growing pains, moves, too many broken bones, one excruciatingly long summer in New Mexico, countless delirious late nights, and a million inside jokes, our friendship is one I could never replicate because it’s more than a friendship; it’s a sisterhood. I’m looking forward to seeing you at the wedding, dancing, and hopefully making you laugh (with me, not at me please) during my toast at the reception. See you December 20th, 2025!
Sarah Schneider
Sarah Schneider - Bridesmaid
My name is Sarah and I was born and raised in Portland Oregon. I am an older sister to identical twin brothers and we are 3 and half years apart. In 2017 I made a brave decision to move to Washington and that was one of the best decisions I ever made because I met my husband, Brent. We were married in 2019 and bought our home in 2020. We reside in the coastal town of Raymond with our 3 fur babies Milo, Dobby, and Levi. Shelby, my youngest cousin, and I are bonded like sisters and I wouldn't change that for anything. We have shared good and hysteric laughs😂😂 and also have shared some tough conversations but it's only brought us closer. Time isn't a thing between us, which I feel is very special. We just pick up right where we left off at the last time we were together. I am very proud of the young woman she has become and continues to grow into. I wouldn't trade her for anyone else.
Breanna Westby
Breanna Westby - Bridesmaid
I was born and raised in the Portland / Gresham area. Art has always been my passion, which led me to get a bachelor of arts degree at Portland State University in 2017, and I enjoy spending time with friends and family when I'm not off traveling somewhere. With our mom's being best friends, Shelby and I have quite literally known each other since birth. We went from two little girls dragging our mothers to see the "Powerpuff Girls" movie, playing with our Bratz dolls, and chasing each other through the house with water balloons to adults! Honestly, I think it was a horrible decision. haha. With our families being so close, we really were there for each other through everything. From first boyfriends, first jobs, moving away from home for the first time. And now I have the privilege of being witness to yet another milestone in Shelby's life, finding love. I can not wait to see what comes next for Shelby and Josh as they embark on this new adventure together.

Officiant

Craig Campbell has been both a friend and mentor to Joshua Koch. The two met at OMIC, where they worked together for six years, with Craig serving as the Executive Director and Josh contributing in roles ranging from research and operations to business development. During their early days at OMIC, Craig and Josh would unwind by watching anime over a well-made Gin and Tonic. As the organization grew, Craig introduced "Tiki Tuesday" nights, bringing the team together to enjoy his signature Tiki drinks.

Travel became another shared passion, and wherever their work took them—be it London, Sheffield, Austria, Chicago, or Austin—they sought out local Tiki bars, even in places where it was a challenge to find one. Over the years, Craig's immense knowledge, imagination, and patience were invaluable to Josh. Craig's mentorship opened doors for Josh, providing opportunities to grow and take on challenges that shaped his career.

As someone who has profoundly influenced Josh's life both professionally and personally, it felt only fitting for Josh to ask Craig to take part in the next chapter of his journey by officiating his and Shelby’s wedding.

Craig Campbell currently resides in Keizer, Oregon, with his wife Anne and their two daughters. As a government affairs director, Craig balances his professional role with a variety of eclectic hobbies. These include 3D printing, playing the video game Fallout, and going all out with holiday decorations—Halloween being his particular favorite. Known for his playful secrecy about his first name, Craig also has a deep appreciation for all things tiki, from collecting unique tiki mugs to hosting themed gatherings. His interests span the fantastical and the mysterious, from playing Dungeons & Dragons and other games, to watching just the first three episodes of any anime, and delving into the lore of the ancient one, Cthulhu.
