Ben and Juliet’s story started even before the two had officially met in person. After a few failed attempts at love for Juliet, groomsmen Dade and Ryan, both suggested that Juliet try going out with their friend Ben, “he’d be perfect for you, except he only leaves the house to go to the gym and work”. For whatever reason, that raving review didn’t make Juliet want to pursue it further. That was until, May 15th 2023, when Juliet went out to a bar with some friends. Bridesmaid, Macie, saw Juliet, grabbed her by the arm, and brought her in viewing distance of Ben. Matchmaker Macie told Juliet “my brother-in-law would be perfect for you, but if you think he’s ugly you can tell me and I won’t bring it up again”. Juliet shrugged “yeah he’s cute”. That was all Macie needed to hear to spring into action, and dragged Juliet to the table where Ben and best man, Jon Mark, were seated. Macie and Jon Mark both said “Ben, this is your future wife”. After what felt like an eternity of uncomfortable small talk, Ben and Juliet parted ways. Later that night Juliet and Ben saw each other again and tried to pretend that the awkward attempt at an arranged marriage from Ben’s brother and sister-in-law, never happened. The next day Ben reached out to Juliet to see her again, and again after that, and again after that. Juliet slowly became part of Ben’s, previously unchanging, routine. She became his routine. Ben had previously thought he was okay with being single forever, because being alone is easy, but relationships are hard. Being with Juliet, that was easy. Unfortunately for Ben, flirting was also hard. Which meant Juliet was confused and couldn’t tell if Ben was ever going to make a romantic move, or if she now had a, somewhat clingy, new friend. That was until, June 2nd, Juliet’s birthday, when a beautiful flower arrangement was delivered to her door with a card reading “Happy Birthday!! - Ben”. Juliet finally got her answer.
