Chris and Kailyn met while working on the ambulance together. Kailyn was a paramedic, while Chris was a EMT at the time. Both were fresh out of school and started working calls together at Pafford. After a few weeks of working together, they went on their first date at Local Lime. This was the start of their relationship.

In late June of 2023, Kailyn was laying in feeling the morning sickness from Baby Hayes. Chris went out that morning and was gone for a few hours. When he came back to the house, he came into the bedroom and got down on one knee. He asked Kailyn if she would marry him. She *obviously* said yes!

In May of 2023, Chris and Kailyn found out they were expecting! A beautiful baby boy named Hayes Christopher Straube was born on January 12th, 2024. The road of Kailyn's pregnancy was a long and tedious one. Their baby boy was born happy and healthy.
