The story of Kamran and Mehnoor is as simple as they come… they met and immediately fell in love! ..wait no… that was the story of Kamran and basketball.


Kamran and Mehnoor’s path to marriage was slightly different.


Their story begins in 2017 when Mehnoor moved to Tucson, Arizona, a mere 1 hour away from Kamran, for medical school. Four years passed… and they never met. But OF COURSE the month after Mehnoor moved out of Arizona and back to Sacramento, Kamran walked into her life.


These two met at a barbecue hosted by a mutual friend and sparks flew in all the wrong directions. Kamran took one look at Mehnoor and wondered why anyone who wasn’t a farmer would wear pink overalls publicly. Who was this munchkin and why was she so rambunctious? Mehnoor met Kamran and wondered why someone from Valencia would claim they were from LA. Why was he lying about his height (6’1 vs. 6’2) and why did his hair look like a mop? They fought like two kids on a playground— pigtails were pulled, shins were kicked— you get the point.


Over the next few months, they would come to meet multiple times. And each time, they’d tear down any connection they had as fast as they had built it. They wasted months, gooood quality months. But still, they would find a reason to see each other once again. And a year later, they gave it one last shot in a casual way— by going to a wedding together. It only took one weekend (…and a year) for these two to realize how stubborn and ridiculous they had been with one another.


Two years later and Kamran and Mehnoor are best friends. They’re the best duo since Kobe and Shaq, SpongeBob and Patrick, Frodo and Samwise, and Darcy and Elizabeth. They’re each other’s biggest fans and also their biggest critics. They support each other through hardships, push each other to grow, challenge each other to be the best version of themselves. Kamran now adores those pink overalls he so easily criticized and Mehnoor loves Kamran’s mop head. There is still ongoing disagreement about Kamran’s real height.


They are so excited to enter this next chapter of their lives with each other!
