Nick was born and raised in Scranton,PA and Kara in Columbia, MD. Nick and Kara met from a dating app in 2018 but their story starts back in 2012. Following a deep love for the television show The Office, Kara and her mom traveled to Scranton to see the cast live in 2012. It was on this trip that Kara discovered that The University of Scranton had a great Occupational Therapy program. After being accepted into the program, Kara moved to Scranton in the fall of 2014. Kara lived in Scranton for 5 years before her and Nick’s paths crossed. Nick introduced her to all the local spots and people. This made her fall even more in love with a city that already had a special spot in her heart. The decision to visit a city from a TV show tied Nick and Kara together with a golden thread through our lives. Now they share an apartment where they are raising their dog Leo.
