Our story began in 2017 when the marching band took their bi-annual trip to Universal and Disney World. Our two friend groups hung out together, splitting into pairs to ride rides and do activities with throughout that week. Afterwards, we kept in touch, messaging each other every so often checking in on each other.

In 2019, we ended up going to Prom with each other and started dating.

Come homecoming time in 2018, Karlie asked Gage if he would go to her senior prom with her if she had no one to go with. Gage promised that he would go with her if she had no one else to go with.

Fast forward a couple of months, our occasional contact turned into walks at Cedar Lakes and dinner/lunch dates. By the end of March, Karlie officially asked Gage if he'd keep his promise of going to prom with her. He gladly kept his promise.

Although we didn't start dating until 2019, we stayed in touch and became friends over the two years.
