Jason and Karmen met back at the beginning of 2018 when they both worked for Bi-Lo. Jason was graduating from high school and Karmen was trying to figure out where she was going to college. They were best friends first and unexpectantly shared their first kiss at a stoplight in Dallas, NC.

Karmen went off to USC (Go Cocks) the following year while Jason went to community college at Gaston College!

When Karmen graduated from college, Jason started at UNCW (Go Seahawks) after finishing his associates. Karmen moved to Hickory, NC to continue to work for Lowes Foods. After Jason's college graduation, he took a job with Carrier Enterprise and moved to Hickory with Karmen.

On the 7th of January, 2023, Jason took Karmen to a drive in movie theatre in Beaufort, SC and proposed with a video on the screen during the credits! It was picture (or movie) perfect and her family surprised her at the theatre.

The couple now lives together in Hickory, NC with their 3 year old Saint Bernard, Tony, and their 4 year old cat, Loki. The rest is history...
