I have been given the task of writing the love story of Caden and Katelyn. I pray that I can do them justice with my words.

Caden and Katelyn met in what older generations would say , is an unconventional way however, the younger generations new found “go-to". They were connected before ever seeing one another in person, online. They grew to know one another on an emotional level far before a physical one. You see the bond was there far before the chemistry ever began.

The two of them lived 5 hours apart. Caden was away at work and Katelyn was wondering if the feelings she was feeling were that of fate or just crazy emotions. They made the split decision on Caden’s way home from West Virginia to meet face to face and that was it. They have yet to be apart except for crazy work schedules for Caden and visits home to Birmingham for Katelyn. This is the beginning of their love story.

Since the “swipe right" happened many things have changed. Katelyn not only fell in love with my son but, she fell in love with my baby's baby John Erik (I mean who couldn’t love him right). She fills a gap in our family that only she could. She is the calm to Caden's chaos (if you know, you know). She keeps him grounded and provides peace to his life. She provides a soft place to land for a person that gives her the world. The love I see that my child has for Katelyn is one like I never thought I'd ever see. The patience he shows is indescribable. The way he handles himself day to day now is something to behold and for that Katelyn, I thank you.

The bond only grew stronger in August when they were surprised with the pregnancy of Knox Taylor. They began planning forever then. When the devastating news of his loss was handed to them THEY NEVER WAIVERED. They held onto one another, despite being miles apart. They grieved the loss with grace and dignity that only true love gives. They both held strong to the relationship and have come out on the other side of it stronger than I could have ever imagined.

Now here we are planning a beautiful union of two very deserving individuals. That are so deserving of one another.

I pray you both the most amazing life. Always talk things through. Never go to bed mad. Always keep God first in all you do.
