Our story began at Clarkson University where we were both students at the time. Patrick was fully enjoying his junior year after gallivanting in the mountains all summer long. Kate was a freshman, new to Clarkson, and super excited to get involved with the Outing Club.

We met when Patrick was co-leading a hike up Ampersand Mountain and Kate asked to join (she thought he was pretty cute). Well, Kate was a bit slow on the hike but Patrick was kind enough to hang at the back of the group to keep her company.

A couple of weeks later we met up again; but this time...on ice! Ice skating was a popular activity on campus and Kate's freshman floor went quite often. After some encouragement from their friends, Patrick showed up to open skate to show off his skating skills (of course) and to talk to Kate again. Several skated circles later, we went on our first date!

Since then, we've made it through 3 degrees, a bazillion hikes, new jobs, moves around the East Coast, and everything in between. We've been on countless adventures and are excited to embark on this next one...married life! We can't wait to say, “I do”!
