We met while working at Inova Hospital on the Medical-Surgical unit. Katie was/is a Registered Nurse, and Rob was a Clinical Technician. We both worked during night shift hours and had the same friend group. We spent our down time during work getting to know each other and also got together with our "friend bubble" during Covid times. Rob then asked Katie on their first date together, and the rest is history.

Rob proposed to Katie by saying they were planning to go to a winery to spend time with his family, and then were going to a family-friend's anniversary party. They arrived at the winery and went into a special room where it was decorated with flowers and candles, with a sign that said "Will you marry me?" Rob then got down on one knee, and Katie of course said "Yes!". Rob planned a surprise engagement party waiting for the couple when they arrived back home. It was definitely a night the both of us will never forget, surrounded by lots of love!
