We connected on a dating app in December 2021. Our first conversation was about a shared love of cheese curds.

We continued on to make each other smile and laugh while living three states away.

Through messaging and phone calls, we got to know each other. We were able to meet for one hour in Grand Rapids for our first date, and met for a weekend in Madison not long after. It's now hard to believe we dated for over a year while living so far apart.

Kayleigh cuts Iliana's hair and Iliana lets Kayleigh sleep in on weekends. We read to each other and dance together. We hold each other accountable for making our dreams come true.

Iliana proposed at our home on a Monday in August of last year and we were officially married on March 1, 2026 in a small ceremony at the Art Institute of Chicago. We are so excited to celebrate our story with you!
