Our Wedding

The story of Kelsey and I began in the fall of 2007 at Rock Canyon High School. When we met in the cafeteria, I was decked out in my motocross t-shirt, pukka shell necklace, and puffy hair. Thank goodness that Kelsey didn't simply stop talking to me right then. At the beginning of sophomore year, I spent hours creating an elaborate poster board asking Kelsey to the homecoming dance only to get cold feet and back out at the last second. We spent the rest of our high school years as no more than friends while enjoying the many Poms competitions, football/lacrosse games, and school bonfires. After high school, we didn't see each other for two years until we&nbsp;reunited in 2013. This was my second chance to make up for the homecoming ordeal. The reunion kicked off our flourishing relationship as Kelsey supported me during my final two years at the Air Force Academy while she finished her nursing degree from CU Anshutz. Being stationed in Colorado Springs upon graduation allowed for us to grow even closer with endless ski trips, camping adventures, and shenanigans with Kelsey and the boys. After over 4 years of dating, it was time to take the next step in our relationship and begin a life together forever.

How It All Began...

Steamboat Springs, CO has always been one of our favorite places to ski, hike, and spend time&nbsp;together.&nbsp;When Kelsey booked another trip to Steamboat &nbsp;with our group of friends for her birthday in the fall of 2017, I knew that this was the weekend for the big question. It took&nbsp;&nbsp;various sneaky trips to Denver in order to get the ring and plenty&nbsp;of help from her friends making sure that she didn't bite her nail polish off before I pulled the ring out of my pocket. On the morning of &nbsp;September 22, we walked into town and posed at the base of the mountain for some pictures. It was then that I asked the question. So many tears ensued that I had to ask twice just to get an answer. This marked the beginning of our wonderful lives together. I am the luckiest man in the world and can't wait to celebrate with all of you&nbsp;on June 29, 2018.

Jojo has been a sister to me for the last 10 years but officially became my sister-in-law in 2016 when she married my brother Jason. Most people would not expect someone with&nbsp;a doctorate of chemistry to be&nbsp;personable and outgoing but Jojo breaks the mold. When she is not perfoming acid-base titrations, she is kicking her co-workers butts on the ping-pong table.

Josephine Hofstetter

Colton is the loyal brother who followed in my footsteps only to surpass me in every academic and athletic endeavor. He is currently an accounting major and member of the lacrosse team at Denver University. He is fully prepared to be mistakenly called Parker by the geriatrics at the wedding.

Nate has been a faithful friend from the beginning of our college careers. He is a Dallas native but still beats most Coloradans down the ski slope. Don't let the muscles fool you, he can seranade any woman with his acoustic guitar and mesmerizing voice.

Kelly and I have been two peas in a pod since the 7th grade. She is the best friend everyone hopes for and has a passion helping premature babies in the NICU. She has an affinity skiing and traveling the world. Not only are we best friends, but our dogs are too :)

Haleigh&nbsp;is a Texas sweetheart who is my Colorado Springs roomie&nbsp;and saved me from soliciting a Craigslist roommate. As a fellow nurse, Haleigh and I have the best time sharing stories from work that the boys would be way too grossed out to hear. She is a fashionista who has the ability to make any room look as if it was a product of HGTV. Parker and I have already hired her to decorate our new home.

Richie was one of the first people I met at the Academy. He is Texas born and raised and took the position of head chef during our time as roommates in Colorado Springs. He is a connoisseur of smoked meats and craft beers and will consistently provide you with unsolicited advice on the golf course.&nbsp;

Richie Sapp

Referred to as "sweet James" by my mother, James is the guy that we all strove to be like on the lacrosse field and in the classroom. Upon graduation, he did two years at a base in Dayton, Ohio before his current assignment in Germany. He is the absolute life of the party and is sure to entertain everyone with stories on the wedding night.

Paige and I's friendship all began on the high school poms squad. While I have lost nearly all flexibility since then, Paige is still involved as a coach for the team. When we are together, it is as if no time has passed.&nbsp;

Sarah is my 3 year old niece who has a love for swings, trampolines, and my dog Buddy.&nbsp;

Davis is a bright 8 year old boy who stands a whole head taller than all of his classmates and loves all things sports. He is Kelsey's second cousin and arguably a better dancer.

Holden&nbsp;will be the cutest five year old&nbsp;boy at the wedding and sure to be found pestering his older brother Davis. He is a great skier and will be happy to take any unfinished desserts.&nbsp;

Please keep in mind that this is the weekend of the 2018 U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor&nbsp;and hotels are booking up quickly. Airbnb could be a good option for groups of people that are not able to book a hotel. The venue is in downtown Colorado Springs.
