Kelsey and Alex's story began in the buzz of a Miami of Ohio fraternity party, specifically a Delta Sig party thrown by Alex and his friends. It was there, amidst the crowds of college kids, that their paths crossed, thanks to Alex's cousin Nina, who brought Kelsey along.
It took a while for Alex and Kelsey to actually hit it off. Alex always had a crush on Kelsey, but Kelsey was hesitant. Once they actually did start going on dates, summer break came around and Kelsey straight up ghosted Alex (we forgive her for that). But as we like to say, fate had other plans. The following school year started with a chance encounter at another Delta Sig party, where they had a second shot at something truly special.
After that party and once the school year began, they powered through college together, tackling all the ups and downs.
Eventually, Alex graduated from college, but Kelsey had one more year before she could ultimately graduate, leaving the two to the, oh so fun, relationship style of long-distance. Long-distance was tough, but they made it work, relying on late-night calls and visits whenever they could swing it. Once Kelsey graduated, she was able to get a teaching job in Chicago and she moved to Lincoln Park, less than a mile away from Alex.
Fast forward to June 2023, Alex and Kelsey now live together and they are gearing up for a bucket list trip to Mount Rainier. After hiking 3.5 miles and 1,500 ft of elevation in about 6 ft of snow (no joke, check out the pictures of the way up), they arrived at Panorama Point, a breathtaking overlook of Mount Rainier and the surrounding mountain ranges. Alex popped the question, of course, with a little bit of convincing (kidding!), and Kelsey said “Yes.”
Now they are looking forward to September 14th, 2024, when Alex & Kelsey will make it official in Holland, MI at an incredible lakefront wedding venue. Surrounded by loved ones, Alex & Kelsey cannot wait to tie the knot and spend the rest of their lives exploring, growing together, and building memories.
