Avery & Kim met in September 2023 through mutual friends who had themselves been best friends since childhood. Avery knew from the first conversation with Kim that she was different. He bought her a drink and lent her his hat (which is a rarity since hats are among his prized possessions), but she was totally oblivious to his suave advances. Intrigued but respecting friendships, Avery played the long game for 5 months in continued pursuit of Kim's attention. Patience was never a talent of his, but for Kim, he stayed locked in and composed.

Inspired by love (for those who know him, this is his baseline), Aves decided to make his move on Valentine's Day - his favorite holiday...

Having taken a break from dating, Kim was cautiously interested at best but entirely authentic, transparent, and warm in her response (for those who know her, this is her baseline).

Aves wasn't phased, in fact he added this to the growing list of things he admires about her. Competitive in nature, he was also very up for the challenge to prove Kim had nothing to worry about.

Once Kim realized everything she was looking for was indeed right in front of her ;) things shifted from puttsing along the bunny hill to flying down a black diamond ... some call that reckless, we call that love.

And luckily, we're both pretty good skiers and equally impatient :)
