Our story

Kristen, 29 years old, strong, independent, beautiful, a little picky, knows what she wants, but is still looking for her one.


Kyle, 32 years old, strong, independent, a little stubborn, knows what he wants (and what he doesn't want), but still longing for his one.


Both begrudgingly decide to put themselves out there and try online dating. Oblivious to the fact that it would turn out to be the best decision of their lives and show as testimony of a gracious and faithful God with a perfect plan. His touch in preparing Kristen for Kyle, and Kyle for Kristen, is nothing short of amazing! Each found their soulmate; their best friend.

Kyle comes across the most beautiful woman he's ever seen on Facebook dating. He works up the courage to send the first message. She responds!! He sends the second message. Crickets.....No response from Kristen. 3 weeks pass, and Kyle decides to move on.

Kristen is perusing Match.com, in search of her knight in shining armor. She comes across the equivalent of Chris Farley meets Doug Heffernan in a Blue Streak uniform. She decides to take a chance and send him a message, not realizing he's the same Kyle from Facebook that she ghosted weeks ago. Kyle decides to forgive and forget from the start and begins the best conversation he's ever had. A conversation that hasn't ended since June 17, 2022.

June 17, 2022

Kristen is perusing Match.com, in search of her knight in shining armor. She comes across the equivalent of Chris Farley meets Doug Heffernan in a Blue Streak uniform. She decides to take a chance and send him a message, not realizing he's the same Kyle from Facebook that she ghosted weeks ago. Kyle decides to forgive and forget from the start and begins the best conversation he's ever had. A conversation that hasn't ended since June 17, 2022.
After several weeks of texting, our schedules finally aligned and we planned our first date. We met up for dinner at Barrier Island Brewery and then went on a "scary" ghost tour on St Simon's Island. Perfect first date idea as it allowed us to make fun of the "haunted trees" and "wondering Mary" together. We followed this with a walk on St. Simon's Pier (see picture) and then we talked on a bench until 2am. Before the date was over, we had already planned our second date!!

After several weeks of texting, our schedules finally aligned and we planned our first date. We met up for dinner at Barrier Island Brewery and then went on a "scary" ghost tour on St Simon's Island. Perfect first date idea as it allowed us to make fun of the "haunted trees" and "wondering Mary" together. We followed this with a walk on St. Simon's Pier (see picture) and then we talked on a bench until 2am. Before the date was over, we had already planned our second date!!
Our second date! We drove on Vilano Beach and Crescent Beach and then had dinner at Casa Reina Taqueria. This was followed by The Sneaky Snake Lounge Escape room at Escape U. We didn't make it out, but got very close (if only Kyle had listened to Kristen's idea). Lesson learned.

Our third date! We had a romantic sunset dinner at The Wharf on Jekyll Island. We decided to make it official, as Kyle asked Kristen to be his girlfriend! This began a wonderful season of dating!

We're engaged! Kristen and her friends planned a night out on the trolley tour through St Augustine's Night of Lights. Kristen asked Kyle to tag along. Kyle began to plan and asked for the help of two of her close friends who attended that night. Kyle had a specific spot in mind that he had to get Kristen (and the group) to before the time of the trolley tour. Kyle had a bit of a challenge on his hands maneuvering a group of women to a specific spot, but he finally got them in front of the beautiful Lightner Museum. A group photo of Kristen and all of her friends turned into Kyle pulling off the biggest surprise and easiest question to answer. "I love you. Will you Marry Me?" "YES!"

Kyle began to plan and asked for the help of two of her close friends who attended that night. Kyle had a specific spot in mind that he had to get Kristen (and the group) to before the time of the trolley tour. Kyle had a bit of a challenge on his hands maneuvering a group of women to a specific spot, but he finally got them in front of the beautiful Lightner Museum. A group photo of Kristen and all of her friends turned into Kyle pulling off the biggest surprise and easiest question to answer. "I love you. Will you Marry Me?" "YES!"
