We are happy to offer our guests some transportation help on our wedding day.
Getting from River North to Loyola: There will be a shuttle at the Springhill Suites Downtown/River North to transport guests to the chapel. The shuttle arrives at 12 p.m. and departs at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Wedding party: The bride, bridesmaids, and both immediate families will be taking the wedding trolley to the chapel, departing from Hotel Downtown Chicago promptly at 12 p.m.
Getting from Loyola to Emporium Arcade: Guests are invited to board the shuttle and depart for the Emporium arcade social hour at 2:30 p.m. The groom's mother is graciously providing light snacks and water for all guests on the shuttle.
Wedding party: The couple and their wedding party, along with partners of the wedding party, will board the trolley by 2:30 p.m. to River North, Museum Campus, and Wicker Park for official wedding photos. Snacks, water, and light-colored beverages will be provided, courtesy of the groom's mother.
Post-Reception: We are not providing transportation from the reception to River North at this time. Ubers and Lyfts are easily called from Revolution Brewpub. The train is also a good option to transit from the California Blue Line station near the reception to Clark/Lake, which is a short walk across the river to return to the hotel blocks.
The couple invites you to join them at Howl at the Moon for their after party, comprising of pizza, champagne, and dueling pianos.
Chicago has a robust and widely used public transit system and is one of the easiest ways to get around the city. The train lines converge in downtown Chicago and splinter from downtown across the rest of the city.
Check out the trip planning tools on Chicago Transit Authority. Google Maps is also very reliable with getting around on the CTA.
Transit cards (i.e. Ventra cards) can be purchased at any CTA train station and can be loaded with individual rides or multi-day passes.
The ceremony is close to the Loyola stop on the Red Line. The reception is close to the California stop on the Blue Line.
Uber and Lyft are available and commonly used across Chicago. If you are not familiar with driving in Chicago and are not taking public transit, we highly recommend taking a ride share to your destination.
If you plan to drive in the city, be aware that public parking is very limited in most areas and it is recommended to plan parking ahead of time. To guarantee you'll have a place to park near our reception venue, we recommend reserving a parking spot. We recommend SpotHero to reserve parking. There is parallel street parking available for a fee.
The closest SpotHero parking lot is located at 2860 W Medille Ave. Please note that our reception is located at 2323 N Milwaukee Ave.
We have room blocks at the below hotels for Labor Day weekend. Please refer to each hotel for room rates, reservation deadlines, and booking links.
You can view the hotel locations on our custom Google Map.
The wedding party will be staying at the Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autograph Collection.
