T-TOWN

Alex and I first met at the University of Alabama in 2017. I had just made the University's All-Girl cheerleading squad, and Alex happened to be friends with a lot of the upperclassmen. We saw each other from time to time at our mutual friend's parties, and he was someone that I definitely considered as "just a friend". Little did I know, he had a bit of a crush on me.

Fast-forward to New Year's Eve 2018, and I received a DM on Instagram responding to my story that said "hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve". He responded "Thanks, I did". Let's just say, I wanted to make him nervous, so no response was given.

"ALEX WHO?!"

Years go by, and we both went in separate directions. I moved back home to Tifton, GA after graduating, and Alex moved to Nashville, TN. We ended up crossing paths again after my move to Birmingham, AL, when I went to Nashville with some friends to attend a wedding. My friend Victoria and I were making the drive, and she mentioned that Alex was taking us out on the town that night. She laughed, "He does have a bit of a crush on you, so don't be shocked if he flirts". I laughed it off. He definitely did. We hit the town with Alex that night. A couple of tiktoks were made, street meat was consumed, and lots of laughs. The next morning, as my friends and I were headed to the wedding, Alex worked up the courage to finally ask me on a date, no DMs involved...although, I did jokingly say "Alex who?" when he texted me for the first time. Like I said, I liked to make him nervous! The following night, we had our first date. Mike was on the stereo. Lots of Christmas lights. A few bumps and bruises from ice-skating.. well that part mainly applies to Alex. It was overall, the best 1st date I've had, and there were many dates and memories to follow...

OUR TESTIMONY

The rest is history. We have been inseparable ever since. I can confidently say, I'm marrying not only the love of my life, but also my best friend. Our relationship is a true testimony, that God's timing is perfect! We eagerly anticipate our big day and the beginning of the rest of our lives!
