Amid the uncertainty of a world battling the COVID-19 pandemic, fate introduced two souls destined to be together. Laura - from Charleston, SC, a traveling nurse who had traveled all over the country for seven years and Spencer - from Greenville, SC, a project manager for a home builder as well as a Sergeant in the Air Force Reserves, found themselves in the unlikeliest of places—a dating site! On their third date in downtown Greenville, Spencer told Laura of his impending deployment. He would be deployed two months after their first date and overseas for the next seven months. They were then faced with being separated not just by distance but also by the demands of duty. Over the course of his deployment, Laura and Spencer’s love story unfolded like a modern-day fairy tale. They supported each other through letters, occasional facetimes, and surprise care packages across the distance of 7,282 miles.

Once back together, they both knew they had found their FOREVER LOVE and they look forward to growing that love through all of the challenges and joys life will bring them. When asked about Spencer, Laura proudly describes him as; trustworthy, loving beyond belief, dashingly handsome, loyal to those he considers close to him, the hardest worker excelling in everything that he does and is respectful to all. On the other hand... Laura is working to be more like Spencer (lol). When asked how Spencer would describe Laura; he finds her intelligent, passionate, devoted, irresistible, stunningly beautiful and his to do list Queen (always thinking of the next house project)… just to name a few. After 2 years of dating on June 17, 2023, Spencer asked Laura for her hand in marriage in her hometown surrounded by friends and family, near and dear to their hearts. Their story is a remarkable adventure filled with so much love, laughter and support. They can’t wait to celebrate their most special day to date in Greenville, SC on April 13, 2024 where they will begin life together at their home sweet home in the Upstate with their precious fur baby, Finley!
