"The Ore House Inn is a 130 year old building in downtown New Castle! Built in 1892 our building has been in constant use on the first floor since its inception. It has been home to everything from general stores to gas stations and pool halls to restaurants. Upstairs used to be a boarding house and is rumored to have been a brothel. In mid 2017 we decided to transition from apartments back to a hotel/boarding house. Our hallways characterize New Castle’s mining history. We are close to skiing, hot springs, Rifle Mountain Park and the Flat Tops Wilderness."

"Originally homesteaded in 1885, Four Mile Ranch is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

There are two log cabins and a wing of the classic red barn. The grounds offer pleasant strolls and relaxing sitting areas. Our historic red barn was constructed in 1918. During the Spring and Summer the barn hosts monthly singer/songwriter events. Sunlight Mountain Resort is just a short drive up our valley and offers great skiing as well as beautiful hiking and biking in the warmer seasons."
