Lauryn &amp; Eric met at Zen Coffee in Omaha, NE for their first date in July of 2022.

First Date

After coffee on their first date they went for a walk in Midtown Crossing Turner Park, Omaha NE where they could not stop talking for over two hours! Eric decided to ask Lauryn on a second date that very evening to his favorite vegan restaurant, where they also could not stop talking for three more hours.

Eric proposed to Lauryn by recreating their very first date. Eric took Lauryn to Zen Coffee, then walked to Midtown Crossing Turner Park, where Eric proposed to Lauryn. Eric's parents Ken and Julie were hiding in the bushes taking pictures. Eric also took Lauryn back to their favorite vegan restaurant the same evening to truly recreate their first date together. 2024-03-16

Old Market

The newest attraction to open in Omaha is the Kiewit Luminarium. It's like a science center that explores more than STEM that's crossed with a children's museum for older kids. It describes itself as "A new place to play and learn."Go with or without kids, you'll enjoy it either way. They have late nights every Thursday just for the 21+ crowd.

Omaha Children's Museum is a hands-on museum that provides an ever-changing series of interactive traveling and permanent exhibits, science shows, and special events. It's Nebraska most-visited museum, and serves families with children primarily ages 8 and younger. Permanent exhibits include the Imagination Playground, a science center, Arts Smart Center, Zooland, Susie's Station, and the Grass Patch. Omaha Children's Museum is a member of the Association of Science -Technology Centers. Parking is free in the two lots south of the museum building. Parking on the weekends is free at the elementary school across St. Mary Avenue. There is also meter parking along the street.

The RiverFront is a public-private funded three-park project that is a total game-changer for the city. The much-anticipated first stage of the project opened in mid-Summer 2022 and features the&nbsp;<a href="https://ohmyomaha.com/gene-leahy-mall/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Gene Leahy Mall</a>, a mega green space (40,000 square feet) with an outdoor concert pavilion, playground, sculpture garden, water feature, and dog park.In August 2023, two more areas reopened: Heartland of America Park and Lewis &amp; Clark Landing. Parking at St. John's Church

There are three options for parking at the vintage ballroom. 1. Street Parking - Pay at the street meter. You will need to pay up until 9:00 P.M., then after 9:00 P.M. parking is free.2. Park Omaha - This is a parking lot directly across from the Vintage Ballroom. The entrance to this lot can be found on 10th Street &amp; Jackson. This is a monitored lot with cameras.3. One block north of the Vintage Ballroom is an Air Garage. Look for an orange sign.
