Yes, we met on Tinder.&nbsp;

However, I had my eye on Zack back in our undergraduate days when I was slingin' drinks for thirsty bar patrons at The Library Bar in La Crosse, WI. On any given Friday or Saturday night, Zack and his buds would mosey on down to Third Street and, if I was lucky, would make a stop at the Library Bar for some Long Islands and groovy tunes ( 2011-2012 Lil Jon and Usher really had it goin' on). At the risk of sounding dramatic, I (figuratively) had to pick my jaw up off of the floor the first time I saw him. He came walking in, smiling and chatting with his friends, wearing a baseball hat with the Packers/Brewers/Badgers logo (which, let's be honest, didn't hurt one bit) and I was sold. From that point on he became known as "the hot guy at the bar" to my fellow bartenders, who all probably rolled their eyes a bit every time I would turn to them and announce that Zack was in the bar. However, Zack never so much as ordered a drink from me (although, if you ask him, he will claim that he did) and no way was I ballsy enough back then to chat him up. Fortunately, we would get another chance two years later.







In the spring of 2014 one of my friends had me convinced that it would be a swell idea to download the Tinder app on my iPhone. I&nbsp;scoffed at the idea. What kind of&nbsp;absolute knob would try to find a partner through a dating app? Well... me, I guess. No fewer than 20 swipes left, guess who shows up on my Tinder? The hot guy at the bar. I about dropped my phone when I saw Zack's picture flash on my screen. I quickly swiped right and was immediately notified that we had "matched" (on Tinder, users swipe left on other users whom they are not interested in and right on users they are interested in. When two people swipe right on each other, they are notified that they have "matched" with each other, and can then begin chatting through the app). Within 5 minutes, I had a message from Zack, full of compliments, and a proposal to take me on a date. A month later, we had a date set. On April 16th, 2014, we met up at Howie's in La Crosse for drinks and apps. Well, Wednesday is Wing Night at Howie's and, if you know Zack, you know the kid loves his wings. I think the moment that I knew Zack was somethin' special was when he ordered a huge basket of 10 cent wings (after I had opted only for a tall Summer Shandy) and proceeded to dive into, confidently and with zero restraint, said basket of super saucy wings on our first date. Yep, that's my guy. Soon after this first date, we were inseparable: from hiking & carving our initials into the sandstone on the bluff to drinking beer on my bed into the wee hours of the night in my tiny studio apartment. Although we spent close to every waking second together, we had not made a formal proclamation of our relationship. That was until Zack's family was in town for his undergraduate graduation from UW - La Crosse. We were hanging out at my apartment when Zack suggested we meet his family for dinner&nbsp;at Dublin Square. We were in Zack's car, embarking on the 5 minute journey to Dublin Square from my apartment when Zack turned to me and says, "I'm so excited for them to meet my girlfriend," like he had said it a million times before. Woah, woah... is that me? The girlfriend?&nbsp;Sweet! And that's the&nbsp;not-at-all-romantic-and-a-little-cheesy-but-still-darn-special-to-us story of how we started dating. We will be providing shuttles to and from Norskedalen. We will have 2 shuttles leaving the Hampton Inn & Suites at 3:30 for the wedding ceremony at 4:30. The shuttle ride out to Norskedalen is approximately 35 minutes. 

The shuttles back to the hotel are scheduled as follows:

You can certainly drive your own vehicle if you choose to do so. If you will be driving yourself, you will need a pass, should you be leaving your vehicle at Norskedalen overnight. Passes are free and will be provided.

We have reserved a block of rooms for our out-of-town wedding guests. The block is reserved for both Friday and Saturday nights. Please access the "Visit Website" tab below to reserve a room in our block.&nbsp;
