Dan and Lena met in the summer of 2019. Dan had just passed the challenging Series 7 and 63 exams and was hired into a new role at his firm. Lena had just graduated from pharmacy school and was set to start her first year of residency.

Even though they were both busy with new jobs, they started to share more time together, meeting halfway and going out in Milford, and getting to know one another. They even started cooking dinner for each other to show off their skills! By mid-July they were officially going steady.

Within the first couple months, they had introduced each other to family and friends and continued to enjoy each other’s company.

In February of 2020, they went on their first trip to cold and snowy Cleveland for Valentine’s Day. Even though it wasn’t the beach, it’s still one of their most memorable trips to this day.

Their relationship grew even more during the pandemic. Dan and Lena both lived at home. They continued to get to know each other while also getting to know each others family spending time at their respective houses.

In the summer of 2020, they planned to go to the beach together for a Fourth of July vacation. Dan and Lena both love the sun, sand, and water. It was a perfect match! Every summer after, there would be a beach trip for sure.

Dan and Lena moved to Monroe in the summer of 2021. They were excited to embark on the journey of living together and making their house a home. One of the things they enjoy the most is hosting dinner parties for family and friends. Coming in a close second is decorating for all of the seasons, especially Christmas! It has become tradition to go to Jones Tree Farm to get a Christmas tree each year.

At the same tree farm, Dan proposed to Lena on a Friday evening in August of 2023 after picking sunflower bouquets together.
