Like many, we were fortunate to find one another on a dating site. On a rainy Monday in October 2021, we met at Solare, a restaurant located in Liberty Station, Point Loma, near Lisa's home. Cory awaited Lisa at the entrance, and from the moment we took our seats, conversation flowed effortlessly until the restaurant closed. The evening ended with a kiss goodbye and a mutual desire to see each other again. Coincidentally, the second date was set for that Friday, October 8, which happened to be Cory's 40th birthday. Sparks flew that evening at Oktoberfest in Ocean Beach. After our second date, we felt something special between us.

Over the course of the first year together, we spent our time getting to know each other and enjoying our many shared interests. We enjoy outdoor hikes and the beach, taking mini getaways to places like La Quinta, weekend adventures in Orange County, wine tasting, playing tennis and pickleball, and getting together with friends.

Within the year, the time was right for Lisa to meet Cory's boys. Since the initial meeting, Lisa and the boys have grown tremendously close. Along with Lisa comes her four-legged furry rescue, Little Ricky, whom Cory and the boys adore.

Lisa's Christmas gift to Cory in Dec 2022 would lead to a trip to Montecito in June to see Trevor Noah, a favorite of ours. Upon realizing he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lisa, Cory planned a special visit to the Fess Parker Winery in Santa Ynez Valley to propose. Unbeknownst to them, the guests at the vineyard captured the special moment when Cory knelt and asked Lisa to marry him. With complete shock and excitement, she said yes!
