Scott and Maddie met in Atlantic Beach, FL in July of 2023. Scott had been living in Florida for two and a half years already and Maddie had been living in Florida for only 1 week. One Friday night, while they were both out by the beach with their own friends, they literally ran into each other and started talking. After talking for a while, Scott invited Maddie to go to church with him the following Sunday. The next Sunday was their first date, church and lunch afterwards, and since then they quickly became close friends and started dating.

Maddie and Scott spend a lot of time biking, walking the beach, cooking, and laughing together. It was not long before they knew they wanted to be together forever. In May of 2024, Scott planned a trip to Savannah, where he surprised Maddie by proposing in Forsyth Park on their second night in town. Maddie and Scott look forward to getting married in Birmingham while celebrating with all of their family and friends then going back to Florida to start their lives together!
